Taking the perfect picture can be very difficult, but once you have it, you want to make sure that no one else takes credit for it. One way you can protect the images you take is by adding your own personal watermark.
If you’ve taken the image from your Android device, you can quickly add a watermark by using a third-party app. You don’t have to use complicated software to protect the image you waited so long to take.
Add Watermark Free
Add Watermark Free is a free Android app that will not only add the watermark to your pictures but will also allow you to edit it. You can create your watermark with various fonts, colors, and effects such as a shadow. Import as many as twenty fonts, and don’t forget to use your built-in sticker collection to use as a watermark.
When you first open the app, tap on the plus sign at the top-right to add your image. When the popup window appears, you can either load an image, take a picture, or process multiple photos (batch mode). Below these three options you will also see an option to open the last image you’ve processed, just in case you want to make any changes.
Once you’ve uploaded your image, you’ll see a sample watermark at the bottom-left of the image. Long-press on the watermark to be taken to the settings where you can make all sorts of changes.
For example, you can add a text or an image as your watermark, change the color, font, stroke, add shadow, or use placeholders. To save the changes you’ve made, tap on the checkmark at the bottom, and you’ll be taken back to the beginning.
You’ll see three sliders at the bottom: one controls the transparency of the watermark, one controls the position, and the last one controls the size of the watermark.
To add an image or a sticker as a watermark, tap on the cog wheel at the bottom-left and select the image option. To the right click on the pencil icon to add either a recent image or built-in stickers.
Salt can also help you add watermarks to your images, but this is a much simpler app. It doesn’t have as many options when it comes to editing your watermark. If you like an app that keeps things simple, you might want to give this one a try.
As soon as you open the app, you’ll see two options at the bottom: Photos and Logos. Tap on Photos to choose the image you want to add the watermark to. If you don’t immediately see the picture you need, just tap on the Browse Folders option to see all your files.
To add a particular text as a watermark, tap on the “T” at the top-right. Double-tap on the text to be taken to a new window where you can add the text you want. Select the checkmark to save your changes.
The app also offers options to add a bold or italic style to the text and to change the font of the text by tapping on the dropdown menu. There is also an option to share your creation with friends at the top-right.
As you can see, adding a watermark from your Android device is not as hard as you may have thought it was. All you need is a third-party app, and you’re good to go. How do you create your watermarks? Share your thoughts in the comments.
