How to View A Website in IE 7, 8 and 9 Mode In Internet Explorer 10

If you are a web developer, you will know that it is a very frustrating experience to make your website compatible for Internet Explorer 7 and 8. While your website may look fine on other browsers, when tested on Internet Explorer browser, things start to deviate from where they supposed to be. In Internet Explorer 10, you can easily test your website in IE 7, 8 and 9 mode without physically owning the browser.

1. Open Internet Explorer 10 in your computer and load the website that you wanted to test. Press F12 to bring up the developer tools.

2. At the menu of the developer tools, click “Browser mode: IE10”. You can now choose between Ie 7, 8 and 9. Once selected, the website will reload with the specified rendering engine.

That’s it.
