Do You Think Tablets Are On Their Way Out?

Tablets are wonderful devices that have worked alongside mobile phones to revolutionize the way we use the Internet. Some people have suggested, though, that tablets are on their way out. What do you think? Are tablets on their way out?

We recently published an article on why tablets won’t die. What was pointed out in the article was that there was originally a surge in sales with the tablet, but that has died out making some people think it’s just a fad that will soon disappear. Some obvious reasons were pointed out for why it won’t die such as the market is just settling, and they’re superior workplace tools. In addition to that, the article said that they still provide utility. However, the angle of this article was on the mobile aspect of the tablet. I, for one, only use a tablet. I do everything on it, including write and publish this poll. I only go back to a computer to add the photos to these articles to get them a certain size before uploading and to have them named a certain way. Other than that, whether I am at home or on the go, I am using my iPad, for work and for pleasure.

That just adds to the side who thinks tablets won’t die, as the utility is even bigger than mobility. But what about the side who says they are just a fad and that soon people will be using their cell phones for everything and won’t need the use of the larger screen that a tablet provides? Or what about the side who believes that nothing will ever replace a computer, and eventually the fun factor will die down and we will eventually go back to using computers for all of our needs?
