If you’ve been wanting to upgrade your smartphone but can’t afford it, or you’re just unhappy with your current wireless provider, now is the time to switch to AT&T. They’re doing their best to entice mobile users to switch to their wireless service, and I must admit, they’re doing a good job of it. Right now they’re offering $300 in credits if you switch to AT&T and trade in your smartphone for a brand new one on AT&T Next.
How do I get my credits?
If you’re wondering how this works, it’s quite simple. First, you’ll get a $100 credit on your bill for switching to AT&T wireless. Luckily, you’ll be able to transfer your phone number over from your old carrier; that way you won’t have to get a new one.
Note: it will take up to ninety days to receive the $100 credit on your account. You’ll need to remain active and in good standing for forty-five days to qualify.
Next, you’ll get a $200 credit (in the form of an AT&T Promotion Card) when you trade in an eligible smartphone and purchase a new one on an AT&T Next installment plan. This also works if you add a new line to your current AT&T account, but, of course, you won’t receive the extra $100 new customer credit – just a $200 credit, which is still good.
Once you make the purchase, you’ll receive an email confirming your order along with directions on how to complete your trade-in. Once your new phone ships, you’ll receive another email with a promo code which must be redeemed in order to get your $200 promotion trade-in credit.
Note: the code must be used within thirty days of receipt.
After everything is verified, you’ll receive an AT&T Promotion Card in the mail within three weeks.
Which phones can I purchase?
There’s quite the selection of phones available with AT&T Next. If you’re not aware, AT&T Next “offers well-qualified buyers the choice to purchase a smartphone for $0 down, dividing the regular price of a smartphone into low monthly installment payments.” Keep in mind that you will need to have decent credit in order to qualify.
Some of the most popular smartphone choices include: Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Moto X (2nd Gen), Apple iPhone 6 Plus, HTC One, LG G4, LG G3, and Microsoft Lumia 640 XL.
As you can see, you’re not limited to just a few devices; there are plenty to choose from. The prices are also very affordable, averaging $20 to $30 a month.
Will you make the switch?
If you don’t want to dish out a few hundred dollars all at once for a new smartphone, AT&T Next is a great option in terms of convenience and affordability. You can make low monthly payments and own your phone in as little as 12 months. Plus, you won’t be locked into a two-year contract.
What’s also nice is that you can use your AT&T Promotion Card on purchases of AT&T products and service in AT&T-owned retail stores, at att.com, or to pay your wireless bill. Keep in mind that the card will not be redeemable for cash and may not be used for withdrawal at cash-dispensing locations.
