You’re probably not going to hear many people say they’re excited to vacuum. Luckily, we now have robots to handle that for us. I was able to put the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner to work during my hands-on review. With multiple pets, rugs, carpet, and hardwood floors, I definitely put it through a workout.
Overview of Features
The MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner features strong suction to handle pet hair, crumbs, and even dirt buried deep in carpets and rugs. It also works along edges to keep everything cleaner. The slim design helps it fit into a variety areas, such as under tables and even china cabinets (that are normally a pain to clean under).

Some of the standout features include:
- 1800pa suction power
- Dual multi-surface brushes
- 2500 mAh battery for up to 120 minutes run-time
- Anti-drop technology to avoid falling off stairs
- Easy to clean dustbin
- Controlled via remote, app, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant
- Six cleaning modes, including Auto, Edge, Spot, Max, Manual, and Planning
- Automatic suction adjustment based on type of floor
- Quiet motor
It’s designed to handle daily cleaning or just spot cleaning as needed. And yes, it’ll clean several average rooms easily before needing to recharge. This allowed me to keep the most trafficked areas clean each day while I worked.
In the Box
Everything you need to start using the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner is included in the box. You also don’t have to do much to get started. Simply remove the bumpers preventing the anti-collision sensor from banging around during shipping and attach the two brushes. They snap into place and don’t even require a screwdriver.

Something that immediately impressed me was MOOSOO included two sets of brushes and an extra HEPA filter. This helps you get even more usage out of your robot vacuum before needing to replace any components.

When you first start, the manual recommends charging the vacuum for up to six hours before the first use. However, mine was fully charged in around two hours. In fact, even after using it, it doesn’t take extremely long to fully recharge.
A small brush cleaner is included. It’s supposed to snap onto the charging base, but I couldn’t ever get it to stay put. However, you’ll definitely want to keep it close by to quickly clean the brush. I have long hair, so I cleaned the brush after every use.
Controlling the Vacuum
Controlling the vacuum was so easy. Both the app and remote work well. You can even ask Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to start the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner for you.

If you want to use the app, simply scan the QR code in the manual to download the Tuya Smart Life app. It’s compatible with Android and iOS. You’ll need to connect your phone or tablet to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Connecting to the network and app only takes a few minutes, and then you’re able to control the vacuum and even set up a planned cleaning.

You don’t actually need the app if you don’t want to install it. In fact, you don’t even need to connect the vacuum to Wi-Fi if you’re not using the app or voice control features.
If your phone isn’t around, the remote works well, too. Alternatively, just start up the vacuum and let it start an auto clean.
One thing I enjoyed was the manual clean. When my pets had a few scattered messes from playtime, I could simply use the controls to direct the vacuum just over the few areas I needed. After all, pets only seem to make messes right after you’ve finished a full vacuum.
Cleaning in Action
One issue other robot vacuums have had in the past is that they really don’t like a few of my throw rugs. Unless something’s holding them in place around the edges, the vacuums typically roll them up a little. The MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner had no real trouble.

The wheels allow the robot vacuum to easily go from hardwood floors to rugs or carpet. I was impressed at the transition and the fact that the suction level did actually increase as it went onto carpet.

My rugs looked amazing and were free of pet hair. It even got up dirt deep in my front door rug that I’d tracked in after it had rained.
The auto clean does a nice, neat pattern that seems to cover the entire room. I did discover if there’s not quite enough light, the vacuum does occasionally miss turning into the darker area of a room. However, turning on the light or a lamp fixes that. Plus, it only happened a few times during a week of testing and only in one room (full disclosure – this happened with other robot vacuums too).

Emptying the vacuum is simple. The dustbin can be removed quickly and dumped out. All you have to do is tap the filter side a little to clear out dirt and dust. The entire thing is washable, though you should remove the HEPA filter first and just tap it to clean.
It goes around obstacles with no problems. It does pause from time to time to plan the route, so don’t get alarmed if you hear it stop moving for a few seconds.
Something I think everyone will love is how quiet the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner is. I’m not saying you can’t hear it at all, but I could hear my TV without turning up the volume while the vacuum was running.
Even my cats, who are normally terrified of vacuums, kept sleeping through it. If you, too, have nervous pets, this one may be quiet enough to avoid scaring them.
Final Thoughts

Overall, I’ve loved my experience with the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. The suction cleans up most messes and daily dirt and debris. It also transitions between floors and rugs without issue. Plus, you get extra side brushes and a HEPA filter.
For the price, you can’t beat the performance. It’s quiet, works well, and runs for up to two hours at a time. You can try the MOOSOO MT-720 Robot Vacuum Cleaner out for yourself for just $169.99.
