Are you worried that your child could be abusing their smartphone or Internet privileges? Or perhaps you’re suspecting they’re hanging out with the wrong crowd. What if we told you there is a way you can monitor all the activities they perform on their smartphones remotely without being noticed?

Sure, there is a way to do it, but you’ll need a mobile tracking software such as Hoverwatch. After spending some quality time with Hoverwatch, here’s what we found out about this app.

What Is Hoverwatch?

Hoverwatch is an efficient computer- and smartphone-tracking software that is actively used by millions of parents throughout the world. As a smartphone monitoring app, Hoverwatch tracks and records texts, calls, contacts, calendar details, chats (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat), and Internet activities, as well as GPS locations of the target device without being detected.

What Makes Hoverwatch an Excellent Monitoring Software?

Here are the salient features that make Hoverwatch stand out from the competition.

1. Social Media Activities Tracking

Whether it’s WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or any other social networking platform, Hoverwatch will monitor silently and give you details of every chat log. With this app, you can keep an eye on your loved ones and know exactly who they chat with and what they talk about through the chat reports.

Hoverwatch will send screenshots of every chat to your user account dashboard. This way, if your child has joined a vile WhatsApp group that may expose them to objectionable content, you’ll know and can advise them accordingly.

2.Text, Instant Messenger, and Call Tracking

If your children, especially teens, learn that their online activities are being monitored, they are likely to switch to traditional text messaging. Even in the offline mode, they will not be able to slip from the Hoverwatch’s grip.

With the Hoverwatch’s text messages tracker, you’ll get detailed information about incoming and outgoing messages with a time stamp, as well as conversations in instant messengers like Facebook and Viber.

And it’s not just plain texts. You’ll also be able to view and save any media – photos, pictures, voice records, and anything else that was sent through the messenger. How cool is that? This app even records the calls dialed and received with the target device.

After the calls are downloaded, they are saved into your personal Hoverwatch account, and you can listen to them whenever you want.

3. Browser Activity Tracking

Worried about what your kids are up to on the Internet? Hoverwatch can help with that, too.

With this browser history tracker, you will be able to view the address of every site your kids visit as well as the exact time of their visit.

4. Calendar and To-Do Lists Tracking

A great parental control app should not only track conversions and online activities, but should also tell you what your kids plan to do. If you need to know what your children are up to or where they plan to go, Hoverwatch’s calendar-tracking feature can be very helpful.

All the notes and to-do lists made by the user in the calendar of the target device will also be available on your Hoverwatch dashboard.

In combination with texts, calls, and social tracking, this app will give you deep insights into what your kids are up to.

4. Location Tracking

This software enables you to get precise information about the location of the target device.

For the Hoverwatch location tracker to work, the GPS and Wi-Fi (or mobile data) on the target device must be on.

5. Stealth Mode

A great tracking and monitoring app should be able to do its thing and get as much information as possible without being detected. Luckily, Hoverwatch is able to operate undetected, thanks to its stealth mode. Once you hide the icon, it stays hidden from the target device user, and you won’t even find it in the list of installed apps.

Getting Started with Hoverwatch

To get started, head over to the Hoverwatch website and create an account. Next, install the app on the target device and then configure the device – give permissions, allow app tracking, disable battery optimization and more. Here’s a two-minute video on how to configure the target device.

Hoverwatch allows you to connect up to twenty-five devices and monitor them remotely. As long as all your target devices are connected to the Internet, you’ll be able to view their activities remotely by logging into your account and clicking the name of the target device.

I was able to configure and monitor four devices running Android version 4.1, 4.4, 6, and 7. All the logs for Android 6 and 7 were successfully uploaded to my Hoverwatch dashboard, including screenshots. However, I did encounter problems with the devices running Android 4.1 and 4.4, as they couldn’t update chat (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook) logs.

To stop monitoring, just select the device, and click on the settings tab. You’ll find options to either Stop Device Monitoring or Delete Device.

Hoverwatch offers a very flexible and competitive pricing. Currently, the company is offering 3 plans: Personal, Family, and Business.

  • Personal: This plan allows you to monitor only one device at a time, and pricing starts from $8.33 per month.
  • Family: This plan allows you to monitor up to five devices, and pricing starts at $3.33/month per device.
  • Business: This plan allows you to monitor up to twenty-five devices, and pricing starts from as low as $1.67/month per device.

Pros and Cons

Here are the pros and cons we found with the software.

  • Comprehensive and detailed monitoring tools that give you virtual access to the target device
  • Easy to set up and use
  • Stealth mode that allows you to spy without being detected
  • Competitively priced

  • No version for iOS available
  • Rooting required for Android versions earlier than Android 6 to access chat logs

Wrapping Up

Today, the market is flooded with spying apps that claim to monitor and track devices remotely. Whether they do as advertised or not, we can’t tell for sure. But one thing we know for sure is that Hoverwatch is reliable and won’t disappoint when it comes to monitoring and tracking.

Having tested this software on various Android versions, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient tracking and monitoring software.
