[Mac OSX Hack]: Upgrading Your Mac Hackintosh to 10.5.2

Following my successful attempt at dual-booting Mac Leopard with my Ubuntu Gutsy, I have also successfully patched it to the latest version 10.5.2.

Mac OSX 10.5.2 contains over 300 fixes, which enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.

In your hackintosh, never use the inbuilt software update function to upgrade to 10.5.2. It will not work and will crash your system. If you followed my instruction to install your Mac OSX Leopard, you have to use the netkas way to update to 10.5.2.

PS: Before you start the 10.5.2 update, remember to backup all your extension files, and recover them after it has finished updating. My first attempt at updating (without recovering the extension files) resulted in the malfunctioning of my keyboard and mouse.

  1. the .7 release is out.FOLLOW EXACT instructions given.

The update works on non-duo CPUS.VERIFIED working.

NOTE: DO NOT EVER EVER delete the boot file at the begining of the drive.[gives boot0:mbr errors, which cannot be recovered.]

ENSURE: boot from SATA can be done by motherboard if you need it on ICH intel hardware [5-7].Ensure BIOS supports this.Apparently MINE does NOT.[945 GCNL]
