Launch Apps Directly From the Desktop in Windows 8

When you need to launch an app in Windows 8, you often have to search for it, or go to the Modern screen and click the app’s tile. Wouldn’t it be great if you can access all the applications on your desktop and launch it directly?

1. In Windows 8, right click on the Desktop and select “new -> Shortcut”.

2. Enter Explorer Shell:AppsFolder in the “Location” field and give a name for this shortcut.

3. You should now see a new folder in your Desktop. Open this folder and you will be able to access all the installed application in Windows 8.

Simply double click on the application to launch it.
