Creating a Firefox theme has always been a designer and coder job. If you are one of those who wanted to create your own theme, without learning the coding skill, then Personas For Firefox is going to make it very simple for you.
Personas For Firefox is a Firefox extension that allows you to easily create and change theme for your browser, and to personalize it so that you can truly call it your own. You don’t need to be a designer or coder. As long as you have some simple photo editing skill, you can start to create your own personas.
Creating your own Personas
There are two files that you need to create: the “header” and the “footer” image. The “header” image is displayed as the background of the top of the browser window (i.e. behind the toolbars and the tab strip) while the “footer” image is shown on the bottom status and find bars.
You can design your own header and footer image. The header image should be 3000 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. The footer image should be 3000 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall.
When designing, it is best to position your design elements toward the right so that they do not distract from the menubar and other major UI elements of Firefox.
You can also create dynamic personas to present live information such as the weather report or time of the day.
